After reading the article about killer web content, I can see how selected wording, garners attention and what turns people away.  Its a tactic the tabloids use.  Selective wording.  The words are both interesting and they get straight to the point.  People want to know what exactly they are reading.  And it is the 1st few words that says it all.  Unless words are specific, people will go elseware.  Not to mention, this is the thing search engines will pick up.  So reading this has caused me to consider my words as I am writing them as otherwise, people may show no interest in the site.

I found the week 11 In class assignment interesting.  What I got out of this is that it is easy to create a template for a website and only specify areas to change so I don’t wreck things from page to page.

After reading the article and the exercise, I can say viewing things as code for me is difficult as I am afraid I am going to hit the wrong key.  While the exercise is basic, I must say I prefer the WYSIWYG editors as they show the changes right then and there, rather than having to go save and go to a browser just to see how something looks.

After looking at the Zen Garden site, I did enjoy seeing what CSS could do.  IT although complicated looks to be a huge time saver if you are editing tags, paragraphs and all.  That way everything is handled, and if the designer is on the ball, the work is cut down.

After a look at behind the scenes of the Garden Party article, the main thing I get from this besides the fact it is VERY complicated, is find out what the client wants, then approach it with a clear design concept, and Sketch, Sketch, Sketch.  Nothing is more worse than doing all that work and you find yourself hideously off track of what the client wants.  So planning is key.

After completing chapter 7 in HOT, I thought it was not bad.  My only issue was getting the font sizes exact.  I did enjoy moving the images around and seeing the results.
